CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy)
Vision is our most valuable sense. 90% of a child’s learning is through their visual system. Early detection can save years of struggling and harmful impact on your child’s ability to learn. Corneal Refractive Therapy is a non-surgical process clinically developed to reshape the cornea while you sleep. The result is the temporary correction of myopia with or without moderate astigmatism.

This approved FDA procedure (also known as Orthokeratology) is allowing patients to be free of glasses and daytime contact lenses WITHOUT surgery.

The FDA has approved CRT for people with up to six diopters of myopia (-6.00 on your prescription); you may also have up to -1.75 diopters of astigmatism. The CRT procedures can be performed on practically anyone of any age, with healthy eyes.

Similar in appearance to standard contact lenses, CRT therapeutic lenses gently reshape the corneal surface during sleep and provide clear, natural vision when the lenses are removed upon waking.

The Perfect Place to Multi-Task
...IS IN YOUR SLEEP!

Because CRT offers freedom from glasses and the hassle of wearing contact lenses during the day, this leading-edge technology can enhance the lifestyle of those requiring vision correction. Active individuals can freely participate in sports without the interference of glasses or bother of contacts. Eye irritation or dryness, sometimes associated with contact lens wear due to outside dust and pollutants, is eliminated.

Now you can be free of daytime contact lenses and glasses during your daily activities without undergoing surgery and enjoy great vision! Recent clinical research combined with the latest corneal surface mapping technology, computerized manufacturing and space age oxygen-breathing materials have brought new science to corneal reshaping.

CRT, is a great option for children and teens that are active
in sports activities or any other extra curricular activities.

The basic purpose of CRT is to improve visual function. For many, this is a safe, non-surgical approach to improving and restoring vision.

In people of all ages with increasingly stronger prescriptions, CRT can slow down or stop the need to get stronger glasses. Research shows that the effect may alter the person's long-term prescription

Let's first understand how CRT works to correct Myopia. In the myopic eye, the focusing power is too great. Light focuses in front of the retina, making distant objects appear blurry.

Today, Corneal Refractive Therapy provides a new option for patients. CRT lenses correct myopia, with/without low or moderate astigmatism, by gently reshaping the cornea while you sleep!

Not everyone is a candidate for CRT therapeutic lenses. Since there are many variations in patient physiology and visual needs, the decision for CRT, at any age, can only be made after a thorough eye exam.
